Saharawi Human Rights defender ‘insulted’ and threatened by Moroccan occupying forces with arrest

This Friday afternoon, the Sahrawi Human Rights defender Hmad Hamad was verbally abused by police at a checkpoint west of the occupied city of Es-Smara. He was subjected to threats and intimidation, because of his political and Human Rights activities, until he was finally released.
Hmad Hamad is the vice president of CODAPSO and was heading for Es-Smara to meet other Sahrawi activists and plan Human Rights activities there.
He told Equipe Media that he was subjected to verbal insults, racial slurs the threat of arrest, while he was stopped at the check point.
